Ok, so it's the next day after pouring the first half of the silicone, lets open the box:



We can see there was a small leak around the piece and through the plastiline, no big deal. Carefully we remove the plasteline using a spatula tool, and the rest gets cleaned up using alcohol or enamel thinner (i use the latter, it removes al those smudges of plastiline like a charm) ...

Hi Everybody, this is a very simple way of making 2 part molds out of RTV silicone.
to make the example i used the arms of my green lantern statue.
let's get into it:
first i cut a cardboard rectangle to hold my piece:





Then i use plastiline to make the base for the first half of the mold:
